Air China to connect Beijing to Brisbane for first time

Air China will soon begin non-stop flights between Beijing and Brisbane from December 11th.

The new route will provide a convenient connection between China’s bustling capital city and the sunny climate of the southern hemisphere, where passengers can experience adventure, and appreciate local art, culture and cuisine.

Brisbane is the capital of Queensland, and is an up-and-coming city on the east coast of Australia.

This buzzing, multicultural city has a youthful vibe, delivering big-city attractions with a small-town feel.

In recent years, Brisbane has witnessed a rapid expansion of its tourism, business, culture, technology and education sectors, helping to raise its profile on the world stage.

In addition to its numerous cultural attractions, the city also has nature on its doorstep, with stunning natural sights close by, including its idyllic islands.

Brisbane offers easy access to the Gold Coast, a section of coastline famous for its pristine sandy beaches.

It also operates regular flights to the Whitsunday Islands – located in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef -where visitors can explore world-famous sights including Heart Reef and Whitehaven Beach.

In recent years, the number of Chinese tourists visiting Australia has seen double-digit growth; two-way tourist flows between the two countries recorded an impressive two million trips in 2016.

At present, Air China already operates direct flights from Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu to Sydney and Melbourne, and the addition of the Beijing – Brisbane route will bring the total number of weekly flights between China and Australia to almost 40.
