Metro Vancouver Residents and Businesses can expect minor changes for parking, roads and routes during the Paralympic Games.

The Olympic Winter Games were a great success in seeing reduction in traffic on our roads and an increase in general transit service usage.
Thank you to businesses participating in the Olympic Pledge and for Vancouver’s support during the 2010 Winter Games.
Let’s keep that success going through the Paralympic Games and beyond!
Goods Movement
Delivery schedules can return to normal operation, however, be aware of continued Noise Control By-Law changes through to March 21, 2010.
Temporary Truck Routes will continue to be in effect throughout Vancouver during the Paralympics.
The Vancouver Organizing Committee will continue to have exclusive use of the Paralympic venues and will manage all required deliveries.
Traffic Reduction
Although significant delays and traffic volumes are not anticipated during the Paralympics, some road closures and parking restrictions around venues will remain, and there will be increased volumes of people and vehicles in the surrounding areas as a result. It is always a good idea to consider sustainable travel options!
Public Transit – the most convenient way to get around, whether commuting or going to a Paralympic event or celebration!
Visit TransLink Services
Cycle or walk as healthy travel options.
Bike lockers will be available at Paralympic venues and at TransLink stations.
Ride-Share/Carpool or park and ride to cut costs, and remember, Games venues have no parking.
Road & Parking Changes
No Paralympic lanes or pedestrian corridors will be in place except for one Paralympic lane northbound on Highway 99 which will be in place until the end of the 2010 Paralympics Winter Games, ending March 21.
Limited parking and stopping restrictions will continue on some routes.
Security zones and road closures will surround Paralympic Games venues.
