New Zealand Incentivizes Travel Agents With Fam Program

[ad_1]

Now is definitely the time to become a New Zealand specialist.

Tourism New Zealand’s 100% Pure New Zealand Specialist Program has upped the ante for agents with a $500 trip credit available to the first 50 agents who book an independent fam trip.

Through its fam program, Explore Plus, which was launched in September of last year, travel agents have access to discounted rates on independent travel to New Zealand, giving agents the opportunity to build in-depth destination knowledge first-hand.

“We recognize agents have limited time and so we developed a program that lets them travel when they want, the way they want, and with whom they want,” said Michelle Rosenberg, Tourism New Zealand’s senior manager of trade partnerships, North America. “The program is very flexible and allows agents to design their very own New Zealand experience.”

In order to qualify, travel agents need to complete the bronze or silver levels of the 100% Pure New Zealand Specialist Program and apply for the Explore Plus program. Once approved, specialists gain access to an online database of agent air and land discounts and can create their own itinerary.

The $500 trip credit is an added bonus for the first 50 agents who book air for the trip. Travel agents will be reimbursed after they submit a trip credit application.

Airline partners include Hawaiian Airlines, American Airlines, Fiji Airways and more.

Tourism New Zealand recently updated its specialist program to include new tiers and new benefits for travel agents. The 100% Pure New Zealand Specialist Program has seen a surge in sign-ups and more agents have been moving up the through the program’s status tiers. Much of the revamped program’s success is being attributed to the launch of the Explore Plus fam program.
