Nearly two-thirds of American travelers make vacation work by working while on vacation. As a result, bleisure—the blending of business and leisure travel—has become one of the hottest trends in the tourism industry.

Belize is currently the fastest-growing travel destination in the Caribbean, and now the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) is appealing to travelers who struggle to fully unplug from the demands of work by inventing “Belizesure”—the combination of business, leisure … and Belize! The BTB has designed an ideal space for Belizesuring: the first-ever overwater bungalow coworking space.

A video tour of the beautiful, beachside coworking space is now available online.

“Not only is Belize a curious place — it also is a productive place,” said Karen Bevans, director of tourism, the Belize Tourism Board. “The Belizean tourism industry is fully committed to accommodating the needs of our guests, whether they’re seeking a rainforest adventure, world-class scuba diving along the Belize Barrier Reef or a relaxing overwater bungalow to finish laying out the last slides of a presentation … if you must.”

The radiant bungalow is located on Tobacco Caye, a tiny island located 10 miles off the coast of Belize. It features a Belizean twist on many common coworking space amenities, including an open-concept layout to make collaboration easy, standing desks, a wellness center, executive parking, a VIP boardroom, pretty OK Wi-Fi and more.

The BTB is now accepting applications from travelers who want to experience Belizesure for themselves. Send an email to [email protected] explaining why you’re the perfect candidate and you could earn an all-expenses-paid, five-day trip for two to Belize where you’ll have exclusive access to our overwater bungalow coworking space. Entrants must be at least 18 years or older and reside in the United States. The deadline to enter is April 9, 2019.
