It doesn’t get any more “once-in-a-lifetime” than a trip to both the Seychelles and Kenya.
Travelers to Africa have a unique opportunity with the Bush and Beach package offered by Alphonse Island, Seychelles, and Cottar’s Safari Camp in Kenya.
The remote island archipelago located in the middle of the Indian Ocean offers white-sand beaches, coral reefs and a lush landscape which is combined with the beauty of Masai Mara bush country at the notable 1920’s-style safari camp.
The 10-day package allows guests to spend one week on the breathtaking private island, staying in one of 22 beach bungalows or five beach suites.
The Alphonse atoll is considered one of the most pristine in the Seychelles and is made up of Alphonse, St. Francois and Bijoutier islands. It is a one-hour flight from Mahe, the largest island in the Seychelles island chain.
Visitors have the opportunity to snorkel, paddleboard, kayak, fly-fish or just relax on the shores of the Indian Ocean. Wi-Fi access and charter flights, as well as non-alcoholic beverages, activities and accommodations for seven nights, are all included.
The package pairs the visit to the Seychelles with a stop in Nairobi, Kenya and a trip to Cottar’s 1920’s Safari Camp.
This portion of the journey can be either three or seven nights. It includes travel to Cottar’s private airstrip and Keekorok airstrip transfers as well as safari activities, day and night game drives, bush walks and runs, cultural visits and more.
A stay at Cottar’s brings back the golden age of the safari experience. The camp was established by Calvin and Louise Cottar in the mid-1990s and it has its own 6,000-acre private reserve. Antique furnishings, luxury mess tents and a newly added pool give visitors the height of comfort in every way without diminishing the wild feeling of the safari experience.
The lodge offers 10 luxury canvas tents with ensuite bathrooms and is situated just 1 kilometer from the Masai Mara National Reserve.
The Bush and Beach package starts at $15,805.00 per person for 10 nights, based on two people sharing.
