Golden, B.C., Canada welcomes Freeride Ski and Snowboard World Tour 2018

Golden, B.C., Canada – Tourism Golden is thrilled to announce that the 2018 Freeride Ski and Snowboard World Tour (FWT) has chosen Golden, BC, as one of its new locations.  The world renowned event will take place in Golden from February 3-9, 2018.

The FWT is the worldwide circuit of freeride snowboarding and skiing with the best riders in the world competing on the most legendary and challenging alpine faces and the most renowned ski resorts across the world.

The FWT launched the official competition calendar today, featuring a completely revamped competition schedule for the upcoming 2018 season. Forty-five riders in four categories – ski men, ski women, snowboard men, and snowboard women – will make the five-stop international journey. All riders will face a round of qualification cuts after the fourth stop in Fieberbrunn, Austria before arriving at the grand finale in Verbier, Switzerland in March/April 2018.
