President and chief executive of HVS, Stephen Rushmore, has confirmed that the leadership of the firm in India is changing.
Managing partner Manav Thadani and several members of his team have announced they will be leaving HVS to pursue their own venture in the hospitality sector.
Thadani has launched Hotelivate, a new hospitality consulting firm which presently has offices in Delhi and Mumbai, with Singapore and Bangkok opening soon.
With the launch of Hotelivate, the entire erstwhile team of HVS India will cease to exist under the HVS trademark, and will operate under the new brand identity of Hotelivate.
However, HVS plans to rebuild.
“Current assignments are proceeding and will be seamlessly taken to completion by the existing teams with support from the global HVS network of hospitality consultants,” confirmed Rushmore.
“I am planning to announce a new leader for India shortly.”
He added: “HVS has a proven track record of high quality work and standards throughout the world.
“Clients in India will continue to benefit from these competitive market advantages, which includes a global network of experienced professionals coupled with unrivalled relationships with hotel brands, management companies, owners, investors and lenders.”
Rushmore added he wishes to reassure partners the changes in management will not impact the company’s work in the region.
He concluded: “We are committed to India for the long-term and I will personally oversee the transition along with our Dubai-based regional president, Hala Matar Choufany, and Singapore-based managing director, Hok Yean Chee,” he added.
