Travel Blogger Photoshopped Paris Backdrops Into Photos

[ad_1]

It’s in the name—travel bloggers travel and then share authentic pictures of their adventures across the globe. Travel bloggers don’t reach heights of influence by Photoshopping their trips, which is why some people aren’t happy with one Swedish travel blogger.

Johanna Olsson is a travel blogger from Sweden with more than half a million followers on Instagram and 33,000 subscribers on Youtube.

In October, Olsson shared some photos of herself on a trip to Paris, and while they’re lovely, Instagram followers quickly realized the pictures are Photoshopped.

A photo of Olsson with a bridge backdrop is clearly Photoshopped at closer examination, especially when you look at the area around her feet which appear to be floating.

Instead, Olsson points out that she’s not the only travel influencer to use Photoshop.

“It’s a bit ridiculous I think,” she continued. “There are a lot of influencers out there that use Photoshop in birds, rainbows or crazy skies and I could do that but I don’t like that,” she said.

“I just wanted to make that clear that I was in Paris, but I did photoshop the background, but I’m not going to take them down because it’s a collaboration and they’re nice pictures—it’s a good outfit!”

If we are to trust Olsson, she was in Paris at the time but chose to Photoshop herself onto gorgeous Paris backdrops versus taking an authentic photograph in those locations.
