You’ve worked hard all year long. You’ve created unique and unforgettable tourism events or experiences, and crafted marketing campaigns to showcase the best of what Alberta has to offer. Now it’s time for you to celebrate and shout your story from the rooftops.
Applications are open for the 18th Annual Alto Awards and there are some exciting changes to the program for 2018. This year there will be 10 categories of awards to apply for and the winners will be announced at the Alto Awards Gala on October 22, 2018.
The two new award categories for 2018 are:
New Tourism Experience Alto Award
The Alto award for best New Tourism Experience is designed to celebrate new experience development within Alberta tourism. Submissions must be newly developed experiences or programs that provides travellers with a rich and authentic experience that highlights the people, places and culture of Alberta.
Tourism Content Alto Award
The Alto Content Award recognizes storytelling content that fulfils a strategic goal for the organization. The content may be a photo, social media, print, blog post or video that tells a great story and engages travellers

About the Alto Awards
The Alto Awards will be presented in ten categories, and to the 2018 Alto Ambassador, at the Alto Awards Gala on October 22, 2018. The awards are held in conjunction with the 18th annual Travel Alberta Industry Conference in Banff from October 21-23, 2018
