The Future Comes to Town

Tech nerd alert: the future is coming to the Okanagan.

Or at least the future as seen through the eyes of those at Telus.

The communications and wireless company will be bringing its “future home” to Kelowna and West Kelowna in November.

The future home is a 560 square-foot travelling condo decked out with the latest technologies of today and the not-too-distant future.

Tech geeks and high-tech fans can swoon over the latest goodies, including a kitchen counter that can scan food to determine nutritional content, a home office with an interactive touch table, and a facial recognition entry system.

The travelling technology show will be set up in Kelowna in the parking lot of Orchard Park Mall from Nov. 3 to 12, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The tech roadshow rolls over to West Kelowna Nov. 15-20, where it will be stationed at the Okanagan Lake Shopping Centre.
