Vegas-bound husband wears instructional lanyard made by wife “who does everything for me”

LAS VEGAS — It’s been a long-running joke that husbands, when left to their own devices, are rendered useless without help from their wives. One hapless husband in particular has proven this theory to be true while on a solo trip to Sin City.

According to The Telegraph, Kim Gip made a customized lanyard for her husband Jim to wear during his weekend trip to Las Vegas without her. The lanyard provided detailed instructions to anyone who would have come across her husband “looking lost”.

“My name is Jim,” the instructions read. “If I look lost, please call my wife, Kim Gip @ *******. If I am in a restaurant just staring at the menu, please order me some sort of Asian food, especially white rice.”

And in case anyone would wonder why a grown man would have to wear such a lanyard, Kim ended the instructions with “I’ve never been away from my wife who does everything for me.”

A photo of the lanyard was posted on Twitter by the couple’s son, Brandon, and the tweet soon went viral with some 35,000 retweets.

Kim needn’t have worried – another photo of her husband was posted of him eating dinner at a restaurant, wearing the lanyard and with plenty of white rice on his plate. Now, let’s just hope Jim didn’t want to order a steak instead.

Any time a country or region imposes any sort of visa stipulation – even if it’s a waiver – the travel industry sighs a collective groan, knowing the obstacles and headaches to come.
