World Travel Awards, the hospitality industry’s leading awards programme, has landed in Dubai, as the finishing touches are put together in preparation of the Middle East Gala Ceremony.
The highly anticipated event will take place at the Armani Dubai this Sunday, October 29th, with hospitality leaders from across the region confirmed to attend.
Graham Cooke, World Travel Awards president, said: “The Middle East Gala Ceremony is always a highlight for World Travel Awards, and the team and I are excited to be returning to Dubai for the tenth time.”
The desert kingdom of Dubai continues to delight visitors thanks to its promise of guaranteed sun, hip hotels, top notch dining, chic bars and modern shopping malls crammed with luxe labels.
Yet scratch beneath the shiny surface and you’ll find another side to the ‘city of gold.’
Alongside iconic modern skyscrapers like the Burj Khalifa and the Burj Al Arab, sit historical sites such as the Bastakia Quarter and the creek – where you can watch traditional Arab sailing boats weave their way across the water as they have done for centuries.
Mark Kirby, general manager at Armani Hotel Dubai, said: “The prestigious World Travel Awards are a benchmark for excellence in the hospitality business globally, and we are delighted to be hosting leading industry figures at Armani Hotel Dubai for the second year.”
Kirby continued: “The high calibre and prestige associated with the awards bears testament to our commitment in providing the highest standards in both customer service and business excellence across the hospitality sector, as the world’s first Armani Hotel.”
World Travel Awards was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry.
Today, the World Travel Awards brand is recognised globally as the ultimate hallmark of quality, with winners setting the benchmark to which all others aspire.
Each year, World Travel Awards covers the globe with a series of regional gala ceremonies staged to recognise and celebrate individual and collective success within each key geographical region.
World Travel Awards Gala Ceremonies are widely regarded as the best networking opportunities in the travel industry, attended by government and industry leaders, luminaries and international print and broadcast media.
