Airbus launches new booking engine for A380 aircraft

TORONTO — Got a thing for big planes? Airbus has launched a new booking engine dedicated entirely to A380 aircraft, reports TravelTalk.

The website iflya380.com aims to zero in on passengers who prefer to fly on this specific aircraft model. According to the plane maker, three in five of flyers are “willing to make an extra effort to fly on it.”

The website claims to make flying on the iconic double-decker “a matter of choice, not chance.” Airbus says the booking site is the only place where all 13 A380 operators can present their services and destinations.

To complement users’ searches, the website will also provide “inspiration information about each city.”

The A380 currently operates on 102 routes to approximately 50 destinations.

To help travel agents reassure client concerns about the Coronavirus, TICO has issued a special Registrar Bulletin that includes relevant tips and information.
