Puerto Vallarta Welcomes Lime Scooters

[ad_1]

Lime scooters have made their way to one of Mexico’s most popular tourist destinations: Puerto Vallarta.

On Monday, December 17th, Lime rolled out their electronic scooters in Bahia de Banderas and Puerto Vallarta, possibly changing the way people get around this beachy destination.

The introduction of Lime scooters is part of a mobility project, according to Vallarta Daily. In this first phase, the electric scooters will hit the streets of Jalisco and Nayarit.

The scooters will cost 20 pesos per unlock plus three pesos for every minute of the ride.

The promo code “LorneVallarta” is being offered to publicize Lime scooters in the area. It will be valid for six months and will allow users four free trips up to 10 minutes each.

Lime scooters debuted in Mexico when they arrived in Mexico City in October.

Bernardo Baranda, Director of the Institute of Transportation and Development Policy spoke highly of Lime’s presence in Mexico telling Banderas News: “We should have more options other than cars in particular which is why we welcome new services that of course should operate with order, security and be part of a public policy of sustainable mobility.”
