Skal Toronto Annual Golf Tournament open to all

TORONTO — The Skal Toronto Annual Golf Tournament is set to take place Aug. 15 at the Royal Woodbine Golf Club, and is open to everyone in the industry, say event organizers.

Considered a key travel and tourism industry event each year, the Skål Toronto golf tournament will host over 100 participants and guests for an afternoon and evening of sportsmanship, networking and camaraderie.
There are spots available for individual golfers and foursomes as well as sponsorship opportunities. The tournament is an excellent chance to be front and centre with industry executives and Skal members, say organizers.

Registration at the golf course starts at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. All levels of players are welcome, with a scramble, best ball format. A BBQ lunch will be served prior to the shotgun start. A reception followed by dinner with wine will take place after the golf game. Anyone unable to take part in the tournament is welcome to attend the reception and dinner, highlighted by a live auction and raffle draw prizes.

The golf fees include 18 holes, golf cart, lunch and dinner with wine. Skal Members pay $150 and all other guests pay $190. Organizers say the best value for the tournament is to sponsor a hole, which includes a foursome for only $900.

Heading into high season for winter getaways, and with spring and summer vacations on the horizon, Black Friday and Cyber Monday promotions are well-timed for the travel industry.
