Banff to host AdventureELEVATE in 2018

The Adventure Travel Trade Association recently announced that the North American focused AdventureELEVATE event will be held in Banff National Park from March 13-15, 2018, hosted by Banff & Lake Louise Tourism and Travel Alberta. AdventureELEVATE features inspiring and informative keynote speakers, activities and breakout sessions designed to equip travel trade and media professionals with tools and ideas to advance their businesses and professional goals.

“We are very excited to host the fourth edition of AdventureELEVATE in Banff National Park next year,” said Leslie Bruce, president and CEO of Banff & Lake Louise Tourism. “In partnership with Travel Alberta, it gives us the opportunity to invite the adventure travel community from around the world to experience the incredible beauty of Banff and Lake Louise while showcasing our destination to trade partners and media in winter.”

In addition to creating opportunities to drive winter visitation for the next few years, the event’s popular MediaExchange and new AdventureExchange Marketplace encourages attending tour suppliers, travel media, outbound buyers, travel agents, and destination representatives to connect and forge business relationships.

“Partnering with Banff & Lake Louise Tourism offers an opportunity to introduce the adventure community to iconic winter experiences through-out Alberta, while making sure they don’t miss the highlights in other regions across the province”, said Bart Donnelly, Business Development, Europe and USA with Travel Alberta. “Showcasing all Alberta has to offer will be the focus of several pre and post business development trips and an Alberta-themed event at the conference.”

During the popular Day of Adventure leading up to AdventureELEVATE, delegates will be able to explore a selection of winter sports led by local guides and operators, with opportunities to participate in activities like, snowshoeing, ice climbing, ice walks and cross-country skiing.

“The ATTA is eager to head north and dive into the beautiful winter landscape of Banff National Park. We are excited to explore the many opportunities for shoulder-season discovery for adventure travelers and for the benefit of the host destination, which is already established as a renowned summer and winter destination. We are confident AdventureELEVATE delegates will be wowed by the diversity of excursions Banff and Lake Louise have to offer,” said Russell Walters, North America strategic director for the ATTA.

Registration is now open for AdventureELEVATE 2018 in Banff, Alberta, and those interested in learning more may sign up to receive event updates including information about keynote speakers and Day of Adventure activities.
