NewLeaf Travel Company becomes Flair Airlines today

That’s the only anniversary NewLeaf will get to, however, as the two have officially become one airline called Flair Airlines.

This follows the June 7th announcement that Kelowna-based Flair Airlines had acquired NewLeaf Travel Company.

“We are starting a new chapter in the airline industry,” said Flair Airlines’ VP of Commercial Operations, Chris Lapointe. “Today we celebrate a significant milestone of successfully reaching our 1 year mark, and we are excited to now move forward with a new brand that better reflects how we are as one unified company.”

Flair Airlines has flown 320,000 passengers and completed more than 2,600 flights throughout Canada in their year of existence.

The airline will continue to provide Canadians with the most affordable air travel options available and will be expanding its route network over the coming weeks.

“We are focused on growing not only our destination list, but are also widening our view of the travel industry as a whole,” said Lapointe. “We look forward to sharing more information regarding these offerings in the coming weeks.”

In celebration of their one year anniversary and the merge, the airline will be offering an 11% discount on all bookings made today.

The options are limited at the moment, but that’s expected to change very soon.
